The 2003 Card year had a number of anomalies to it due to errors made at the printing company. There are, for example, 2 cards that share the number 23 - there are no cards 26 and 27, and there are two cards with the 2003 card design that could be considered part of the 2004 season. Due to the number of errors made by the company that was printing the cards and a huge price hike that would have gone into effect for the 2004 season, the decision was made to change to a new printer. The quality remains the same, but the new company has an environmental policy against the lamination process that was used on the 2001 - 2003 cards. Times change, but collecting these cards remains a hoot!
